Name:  Janeé Jill Stump
Age:  39
Been with ORC since:  Summer of 2010
Proudest running moment: Crossing the finish line at the Trolley Run with my son Alex last year.  Although he officially crossed the finish line 20 minutes prior, he ran back and found me on the course and kept me motivated for a strong finish of my own.
Volunteer work: Harvesters, Meals on Wheels, Olathe NW High School Cross Country
Hobbies/ Interests: I am working on an accounting degree from ESU while juggling a challenging full-time job so my main hobby seems to be “homework”

Why I run with the ORC: I started doing 5K runs about five years ago and wanted to become a stronger runner.  Joining ORC provides me with motivation and accountability to keep running even if my hectic schedule only allows for 1-2 runs a week.  I also appreciate the focus ORC has on community service

Name: Rob Gallop

Age: 40

Been with ORC since: Mid 2009

Proudest running moment: Since I've run so many races over the years, I would have to say that running 15:58 for 5K has to be in the top few. I did this back in 1998 or 1999 while working as a Government employee assigned to a Marine Corps base in Okinawa, Japan. Two other races that come to mind are the Naha and Okinawa Marathons. I ran 4:15:00 at Naha, and 4:00:00 at Okinawa.

Hobbies/ Interests: Running, Mountain biking, P90X workouts, fishing (trout is my favorite), Cisco networking, 1980's and classic rock music, auto mechanics, and sometimes even horse back riding.

Why I run with the ORC: The people are great and I've made some very good friends. Camaraderie at group runs is something I wouldn't trade. We keep each other motivated, and check in on each other when we are hurt.

Proudest running moment:  Completed first 1/2 Marathon @ the 2010 Patriot's Run.

Hobbies/Interests:  Running, working out, traveling.  Love the Kansas Jayhawks!

Why I run with the ORC:  I like the structure of the groups runs.  It
helps keep me on schedule.  The experience of the runners in the club
is priceless and I have learned so much from them.  Running with
others is so much more fun than running alone.  Running with the club
has improved my times immensely.  The ORC members are very inviting.
I enjoy the friendships I've made through the club.

Name: Jay Murphy

Age: 38

Been with ORC since: May 2009

Proudest running moment:  So far my proudest running moment was finishing my first 1/2 marathon.  I ran it with my dad and my only goal was to finish, but really wanted to break 2 hours.  Not only did I finish but I broke 2 hours as well, we did it in 1:54:09.

Hobbies/ Interests: Running obviously and I am an avid bowler.  I also just started brewing my own beer and love it.

Why I run with the ORC: I love the camaraderie that we all have.  I remember when I started with the club I could barely run a 10 minute mile and now run training runs at around 8:30.  Whats really nice is that we have people that run at all levels, so that no matter how fast you are there is usually someone there for you to run with.

Name: Jared Wisner

Age: 27

Been with ORC since: 2009

Proudest running moment: Actually doesn't even involve my running conquests. I had my proudest running moment when a patient I had been treating told me that after a year and a half of not being able to finish a track or cross country season due to shin splints, he was able to complete a season and was still running without pain. He had tried multiple treatment approaches before coming to see me and nothing had helped. It felt good to help someone get out and keep running.

Hobbies/ Interests: The only hobby I have had for the past year is getting my chiropractic office open and started. Other than that, I enjoy working with other runners and their injuries, and getting out for a good
run myself.

Why I run with the ORC: I run with the ORC because sometimes being around
other people who enjoy running helps keep you motivated to continue running when you go through those periods where you just want to sit on
the couch and be lazy.
